Taboo Soul is a name I came up with for my erotic art expression that is influenced by a mix of the Afrocentric black velvet paintings of the 70’s, Fantasy art, Pin-Up art and Afrofuturistic art.
Broken down, the name Taboo Soul is,
Taboo: proscribed by society as improper or unacceptable.
Soul: a quality that gives emotional force and effectiveness to a performance, a work of art, etc.
Taboo Soul is the embodiment of the taboo/forbidden nature of erotica and the Soul aspect of my creativity.
